An Introduction

Hi, I’m Jamie!

I’m a creative problem solver with a passion for impactful design that drives meaningful results. I began my career designing publications, brand guidelines, and websites—experience that continues to shape how I think about consistency, structure, and scale across digital products. Th broad expertise gained after 20+ years in the industry of design, has made me well-suited to deliver impactful product and design-system solutions.

Today, my work is centered on UX leadership, operations and systems — defining standards, shaping governance, mentoring designers, and creating processes that help teams collaborate effectively. I’m especially energized by facilitating alignment within design—enabling shared decision-making, aligning partners across product and engineering, and helping teams move from big-picture direction to clear roadmaps and thoughtful, actionable design feedback.

What motivates me most is helping organizations move from fragmented efforts toward cohesive, maintainable systems and ways of working that strengthen collaboration, build trust, and support healthy team dynamics.

Collaborative Design System Development
Thermo Fisher Scientific

As Design Lead and UX Manager, I guided the development of a web-apps–specific design system layered on an existing foundations library. My focus was on facilitating cross-team collaboration, mentoring designers, and partnering with Product to shape shared roadmaps—ensuring the system evolved through alignment rather than mandate.

Testimonials

Impressive work on the UX side. The process being adopted there for consolidation of requirements, application of standards, and design for many is... a great model for not just the UX but…anything where we need something new, we should all be asking ourselves what exists before we pivot to building ourselves in the silos. Culture change.
